    The Supreme Court of India today issued a circular regarding listing of fresh matters.The circular supersedes the earlier circular by Registry on November 11, 2014. As per the latest circular, 'fresh matters, including bail matters registered on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday will now be listed on Monday in the next week and those registered on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be listed...

    The Supreme Court of India today issued a circular regarding listing of fresh matters.

    The circular supersedes the earlier circular by Registry on November 11, 2014. As per the latest circular, 'fresh matters, including bail matters registered on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday will now be listed on Monday in the next week and those registered on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be listed on Friday in the following week.'

    The circular also states that 'the final cause list of Monday will be published on Thursday in the preceding week and that of Friday will be published on Monday in the same week.' Also, 'if the fresh matters registered on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday for listing on next Monday are found to be excess of requirement, the excess matters will be listed on regular hearing days/non-miscellaneous days.'

    Moreover, 'if fresh matters registered on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for listing on next Friday are found to be excess in requirement, the excess matters will be included in the cause list of next to next Monday, together with fresh matters registered on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday.'

    Lastly, 'fresh matters will directly appear in the final cause list and an Advance List will be issued for old matters only.'
