As the results to hotly contested Supreme Court Bar Association Elections were declared, it became clear that Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave had won over his nearest competitor by a margin of 42 votes. Senior Advocate Adish Agarwala came close, by finishing second.

In addition, Aishwarya Bhati will continue to be the Secretary as she too won the elections. She won with a comfortable margin of 159 votes, with Bina Madhavan coming second.

Senior advocate V Shekhar will continue to be the Vice President, having won the elections again.

Reportedly, eight candidates were in the fray for the position of President with six persons fighting it out for the post of Secretary. The post of Vice President saw only four persons contesting.

The hotly contested elections were held today, from 9.30 am to 5 pm, at the Supreme Court premises.

The newly elected President of the Bar had active involvement in writing to the Chief Justice of India in protest, regarding question of judicial propriety.

Thereafter, Justice KT Thomas too had written to the Chief Justice of India, asking him to take action on the letter written by Dushyant Dave.
