Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University pleased to announce the commencement of the Second National Moot Court Competition scheduled to be held on 6th, 7th, and 8th of October 2017.

After getting over with the registration of the 32 participating teams and felicitation of the chief guest and the other dignitaries of the institution,  the event was triggered with auspicious ceremony of lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest Hon’ble Chief Justice Rajesh Tandon, former Judge, Nainital High Court, Uttrakhand, Hon’ble Chancellor of Uttranchal University Shri Jitendra Joshi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Shri N.K Joshi, Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Director Student Affairs & I.T Services and (Prof.) Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna, Principal and Dean, Law College Dehradun.

Lamp Lighting was followed by a warm welcome speech provided by Mr. Karam Pratap Singh Thakur, respected president of Law College Dehradun. Further, Moot Court Society addressed the gathering, guests and the Chief Justice with words of honor for the Chief Guest and assuring the best hospitality to the participants.

The Ceremony was concluded with a motivational speech from the Hon’ble Chief Guest who stated beautifully that “Knowledge is that weightless wealth which cannot be stolen by any thief or distributed among brothers, imparting knowledge”. Further he told about the essentials of the moot court and Constitution depicting Article 21 and stated the reasons to study it in depth and also uplifted the spirits of the participants.

Vote of thanks was provided by the Vice Chancellor Shri N.K Joshi .
