  • Tamil Nadu National Law School inaugurated by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa
    Tamil Nadu National Law School (TNNLS) was inaugurated by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa through video-conferencing in the presence of Justice Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court, from Chennai.

    The law school, established at an investment of 100 crore, is located at Srirangam near Tiruchirappalli in a 25 acre campus. The Madras High Court Chief Justice will be the Chancellor and the Law Minister will be the Pro-Chancellor of the law school. Prof. N. Murugavel is the first Vice-Chancellor of TNNLS.

    At present only a five year integrated B.A, LL.B. (Honours) degree programme is offered by the law school. 100 students will be admitted to this programme. The law school is likely to offer integrated B.Com. LL.B. (Honours) and LL.M. from next academic year.
