Senguttuvan stated in the Lok Sabha today that there is no proposal to amend Section 320 of the Cr.P.C. and Sections 375 and 376 of IPC to enable compounding of certain forms of rape, such as marital rape and the act of obtaining consent on false promise of marriage etc.  He also stated that there is no proposal to repeal Section 377 of the IPC so as to decriminalize homosexuality.
