All courts in Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Puducherry will work on Saturday to compensate for the loss of work on Wednesday which was declared as holiday as a mark of respect to former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on his demise.

“In lieu of declaring August 8, 2018 (Wednesday) as holiday, August 11 is declared as working day for the high court (Principal seat at Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court) and all the subordinate courts in the State of Tamil Nadu,” said a notification issued by the Registrar General of the High Court.
