CLAT 2024 was conducted today in 139 centres across the country. This was the first CLAT paper which was conducted of 120 questions (instead of 150) though time remained the same (120 minutes). CLAT 2024, against all expectations, turned out to be a relatively easy paper. Barring a few questions and a couple of passages, most of the serious students wouldn't have faced any major issues solving the paper.
    Here's a section-wise analysis of the paper:
    English Language: Easy.
Passages were majorly from the genre of Literature, though there were a few passages on other genres too. Questions were relatively straightforward and surprisingly, there was no Vocab based questions.
    Logical Reasoning: Easy to Moderate.
Barring one passage on "Production Efficiency", other passages were shorter and questions were straightforward in nature. There were a few questions on Inference & Strengthening & Weakening too.
    Legal Reasoning: Easy
Passages were majorly on Bills, such as Bills on Data Protection, Juvenile Justice & Press Bill. There was also a passage on Void and Voidable Marriages. The questions were however straightforward and required basic application of principles.
    Current Affairs: Easy

The questions, unlike last 2 years, were a lot straightforward in nature. Passages were on ISRO, G20, Gaza Strip, Jallianwala bagh etc. There were a few questions which did not require extra knowledge but the answer could be derived directly from the passage.

    Quantitative Techniques: Easy to Moderate

Barring one caselet which was around population survey, the QT section was also easy in nature. Questions were on Percentage and Ratio-Proportion. The Percentages questions were a little tricky in nature.

Overall, the paper can be categorized as easy with a few difficult questions. However, its obvious that since the number of seats remain the same, number of attempts would play a major role here and should be atleast 95-100 to get one of the top few NLUs. Also, minor mistakes might cost aspirants a little more dearly as compared to a difficult paper, as scores of aspirants would be a lot closer to each other.

We wish all the CLAT 2024 aspirants all the very best for the CLAT Results as well as the AILET paper next Sunday.
