Dr. A R Lakshmanan, Former Supreme Court Judge, Passes Away

 Dr Justice AR Lakshmanan(78) , former judge of Supreme Court of India and former Chairman of Law Commission of India passed away today morning .

Cremation will take place at his native place Devakottai (Tamil Nadu) today at 11.30 AM.

He studied law in Chennai. Before his elevation to the Supreme Court in 2002, he served as a judge on the Madras High Court and Kerala High Court. He was also appointed as Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court in 2000 and Andhra Pradesh High Court in 2001. He retired in 2007.
