SG: So far as buildings are concerned notices were issued. A petition was filed by a traders association of Jahangirpuri where there are judicial orders of the HC regarding removal of encroachment.

SG Tushar Mehta: so far as delhi Is concerned they tried to remove what was lying on footpath and public roads, it started on 19jan, then February 2022 and then in april. It was commenced to clear roads, what was expanding

Dave: Mayor himself went on record at 11 to say SC’s orders will be complied with. He complied with it after 12 depsite that. 

Sr Adv PV Surendranath for Brinda Karat submits that Karat asked authorities to stop but they didn’t and went on till 12.45 after which she had to physically resist.

Sibal: You cant connect encroachments to one community! Encroachments aren’t limited to a and b community. You cant just demolish houses saying they are encroached. This forum is to show that rule of law prevails

Sibal: I’ve photos where people from a community were gated and their hosues were demolished. Whats this process, to instil fear to sideline rule of law?
