Parasaran: We only have the communication from the regional officer.

ASG: The communication is from the CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi to the regional officer Balamurugan

CJ: Where is this letter? The matter has traveled from the writ court to the appeal court but no one has seen this document 

CJ: Show us where is the decision by the chairman. Because as per the statute, that is the decision of the board.

ASG: That will not be here your honour. It will be uploaded in the e-cinepraman and a copy of it was given to the single judge.

Court clarifies with ASG

ASG informs that the original records were taken from the regional office in Chennai and the complainant received by Board was brought from Bombay through an officer 

CJ says the board could have produced only what was there in the regional office in one day's time

Parasaran: They produced records from Bombay itself

CJ: Where is this direction by the board?

Parasaran: They have to produce that

Parasaran says that the communication of 22/12 by the chairperson was a decision on behalf of the Board.

Parasaran says the Chairperson had received unanimous recommendation from the members. Says after receiving the recommendation, he had authority to either send to review or go ahead with certification

CJ: Were they given even an hour's time to counter this?

Parasaran: They had come prepared with sealed envelope
