Justice UU Lalit Stresses Importance Of Pan India Legal Awareness Outreach Campaign

Supreme Court judge Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, the Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority, has stressed the importance of pan-India legal awareness and outreach program.He was speaking at the Mega Legal Services Camp organized by the Maharashtra Legal Services Authority under the aegis of NALSA at Beed on Saturday (October 23).Justice Lalit said that it is the duty of judiciary to make the public aware about the rights available to them under the various schemes, laws and particularly under the Constitution.Nearly about 5000 peoples and beneficiaries were presents for the programme. As a sample representation, 25 beneficiaries received the benefits from Justice Lalit. He congratulated the government agencies at Beed for extending benefits to the needy and appreciated all the SLSAs for successfully arranging the National Lok Adalats to ensure the disposal of a large number of cases. Justice A.A. Sayed, Judge, Bombay High Court, Executive Chairman MSLSA and Justice S.S. Shinde, Judge, Bombay High Court, Guardian Judge of District Beed Justice V.V. Kankanwadi, Judge, Bombay High Court, were also present at the function. In welcome address Justice Shinde pointed out the importance of legal services and the legal aid to the needy, which is the aim of Constitution. He added that under the PAN India Campaign, the Maharashtra Legal Services Authority is organizing as many legal services and awareness camp all over Maharashtra and needy persons are getting its benefits.Justice Sayed, Executive Chairman, Maharashtra Legal Services Authority in his address, underlined the importance of the State Legal Services Authorities in ensuring the equal Justice mandated by the Indian Constitution. He said that the PAN India outreach Campaign is meant for spreading legal awareness amongst the weaker section and other needy class in the society so that all can be benefited with all the rights for which they are entitled. The Principal District Judge of Beed Shri H.S. Mahajan, offered vote of thanks.The Maharashtra Legal Services Authority under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority is holding various Legal awareness Camp and programmes across the state of Maharashtra in between 2 October 2021 upto 14 November, 2021 Under the PAN India Legal Awareness and outreach campaign.
