[LIVE-UPDATES] SC Resumes Hearing On Plea Against Sudarshan TV's "UPSC Jihad" Show

The bench directs the Registry to obtain administrative orders from the Chief Justice of India for constituting the bench tomorrow for hearing the case.

The case to be listed at 12 PM.

Justice Chandrachud says the bench is not otherwise sitting tomorrow. But he can make a request to the CJI to constitute the bench tomorrow morning at 10.30 AM tomorrow and subject to that the matter could be heard tomorrow morning.

Justice Joseph tells Shadan Farasat he was waiting for the CDs of the four episodes.

Shadan submits that he will send the links of the show right away.

Divan says he does not oppose the request for time made by the petitioner.

He requests the bench to hear him for the channel today and place the case of the channel before the court.

Shyam Divan submits that he was in the same position as the petitioner day before yesterday, as he was given the copy only that day, and being asked to make submissions without short instructions. Divan says that therefore he understands the position of the petitioner.

Senior Advocate Shyam Divan submits that the channel has filed its counter affidavit.

Senior Advocate Anoop Chaudhari, for petitioner, submits that the counter was received only today at 12PM, and seeks time for rejoinder..
