    LiveLaw Academy has launched its Intensive Course on Commercial Arbitration: Theory and Practice, designed and taught by Percival Billimoria.

    This course is designed to bridge the gap between legal theory and the practical realities of dispute resolution, offering participants a structured and hands-on understanding of arbitration as practised in India and internationally.

    A Practical, Skill-Oriented Approach

    The programme goes beyond traditional academic teaching and focuses on how disputes are actually built, argued, and resolved.

    Participants will learn how to:

    • Develop a case theory
    • Draft claims, pleadings, and evidence
    • Handle cross-examination and oral advocacy
    • Navigate the entire lifecycle of arbitration, from agreement drafting to enforcement of awards

    The course is structured to build strong litigation foundations alongside arbitration expertise.

    About the Instructor

    Percival Billimoria is a designated Senior Advocate. He is known for his extensive experience in commercial dispute resolution, adversarial matters in competition law and white-collar crime. Practising both in India and internationally, he is regularly appointed as an arbitrator on SIAC, LCIA and ICC cases. He is also a Chartered Accountant, having practised as such before entering the practise of law.

    Course Structure

    The course comprises 30 sessions (60 hours) delivered in two phases.

    • Tribunal and jurisdiction

    Evaluation and Certification
