School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology is organizing U.G.C. sponsored two day workshop on "Empirical Research in Legal Studies and Social Science" for researches and teachers on 25th and 26th of August, 2017.

About the workshop:

This workshop will serve as a reference for scope and functions of Empirical Legal Research. It covers the body of empirical research, the methods employed and the application of Empirical Research with special references to scientific data analysis in Legal Research.

This workshop will equip the researchers and teachers with the nuances of empirical methodology in a legal context, elucidating how empirical analysis can supplement legal arguments. The workshop will further train the participants to frame empirical questions, conduct empirical research, analyse data and present or evaluate the results.
