Acid Attack PIL: #SupremeCourt mulls extremely restricted sale of #acid in retail shops, if not a complete ban

Court seeks response of the respondent-authorities and notes that NGOs can play significant role in creating awareness against use of traditional treatment methods for acid-attack victims

An applicant in person to CJI Surya Kant bench: Govt guidelines are old. Everytime it comes and says it will take steps but nothing happens. I suffered acid attack 17 yrs ago, I still take medicine to sleep. The mental and physical affect of such attack...life can be destroyed like this. I know of 3 victims, one if 14 yr old. This court is our last resort.
