The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA) has introduced digitally signed QR-coded project registration certificates and directed builders to prominently display these certificates featuring QR codes at both corporate and project site offices.

The redesigned certificates will be digitally signed by the Secretary, incorporating QR codes for easy verification. Certificates will contain essential project details such as the project name, builder's name, registration number, duration, start and completion dates, project addresses, and key conditions of registration, including financial obligations.

Further, UP-RERA has directed builders to prominently display these QR code-loaded certificates at their offices and project site marketing offices to ensure visibility to prospective and existing home buyers. By scanning the QR code using their mobile phones, buyers can access comprehensive project information, including land details, approvals, and quarterly progress reports, through the U.P. RERA web portal.

Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy, Chairman of U.P. RERA, emphasized the authority's objective to establish accountability, transparency, and standardization in the real estate sector while safeguarding consumer rights. The integration of QR codes aims to empower home buyers by providing convenient access to critical project information.

In addition to physical displays, UPRERA has directed builders to incorporate QR codes into their websites, promotional materials, brochures, standees, hoardings, and social media pages. This initiative is expected to encourage home buyers to verify project details conveniently through the RERA portal, enabling informed decision-making.

In conclusion, the newly redesigned Registration Certificate of UP-RERA will include QR codes along with other relevant information. Additionally, UP-RERA has directed builders to prominently display these QR-coded registration certificates at corporate offices, project site offices, websites, social media platforms, and promotional materials.
