Book Launch "Mediation: Theory To Practice" By Iram Majid

The Book "Mediation : Theory to practice" by advocate Mrs Iram Majid was launched on 13th September 2022 at IIAM ,Cochin, Kerala. It was first launched in Delhi on the occasion of Teachers' Day. Event was marvelously organized in the presence of chief guest Justice Mr. Muhammed Mushtaq, High Court of Kerala, Sri. Anil Xavier, President APCAM, IIAM, and Sri. George Poothicode, Secretary General IIADRA. The program was also graced by distinguished guests which includes Director of HPCL, legal officers of HPCL, Senior Officers of HPCL, Senior Advocate Sri. Suresh Kumar P. K, Sri. Jayan IIADRA ,Additional Solicitor General and various other dignitaries from the field of ADR from all over South India. Justice Mr. Muhammed Mushtaq (High Court of Kerala) observed that book will serve as a guide for students, professionals, users with theoretical and practical knowledge. His lordship also stressed the need of mediation to travel beyond the confines of court and lawyers. Lordship also recollected a construction case wherein the parties were widely divided and at his lordship initiative the matter was referred to mediation wherein the parties entered into an amicable settlement. Shri Anil Xavier ,President APCAM, IIAM, congratulated the author and mentioned that the book will fill the vacuum especially when the meditation bill is in the corner and also when the Bar Council took the momentous decision to make Mediation and Conciliation a compulsory subject in law colleges from the academic year 2020-2021. Sri. George Poothicode, Secretary General IIADRA also congratulated the author and mentioned how this book is going to create awareness in the grass root level and what makes this book stand apart. The Author, Ms Iram Majid, expressed the emotions behind the pages and provided a brief synopsis of the book, encouraging the audience to feel the magic of mediation in their lives. Book was hosted with live reading, signing copies and a photo-shoot. Author provided basic information about the book and created a personal connection with the guest. Altogether it was an opportunity for reconnecting with the author who is well known in the sphere of mediation and other ADR. Book is going to be an incredible milestone in an era where there is change in conflict dynamics. Event and the author brought everyone closer to the passionate subject called Mediation. Book is a must read for every Mediation Enthusiast.
