  • Book Launch On The UN: Reality And Future To Be Held In New Delhi On September 18

    A book launch and special forum titled “The UN: Reality and Future: Public Trust, the Role of India, and Future Generations” will be held in New Delhi on September 18, 2026. The event is themed around public trust in the United Nations and will focus on administrative justice, the rule of law, accountability, and institutional reform.

    The programme will feature a book introduction, keynote address, and panel discussions. Ms. Poornima Joshi, former Political Editor of The Hindu BusinessLine, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. Mr. Chander Uday Singh, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, will deliver the keynote address.

    The first session, titled “Can the UN Rebuild Public Trust?”, will feature Dr. Eun-Ju Kim, Chair Professor at aSSIST University and former Chief of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

    The second session, “The UN: Reality and Future,” will be chaired by Justice Madan B. Lokur, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Chair of the United Nations Internal Justice Council. The panelists include Senior Advocate P. V. Dinesh, Associate Professor Tanvir Aeijaz of Ramjas College, University of Delhi, Attorney-at-Law Ajmal Edappagath, and journalist Venkitesh Ramakrishnan.

    The programme will also include a dialogue and question-and-answer session on the theme, “What kind of United Nations should we build together?”, followed by a commemorative photo session, author signing, and networking.

    The event will take place on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, followed by dinner, at The Dome, Ambassador Hotel, New Delhi. The programme is being organised in partnership with LiveLaw.
