Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Cyriac Joseph stated that the public perception that sycophancy (servitude) is necessary to become a judge is incorrect; instead, hard work and excellence as a lawyer are what truly matter. He pointed to the judicial career of Justice Siri Jagan as a prime example of this. Describing Justice Siri Jagan as a noble model of justice, impartiality, and humanity, Justice Joseph noted that although he is no longer with us, his memory resonated throughout the quiz program.
Justice Cyriac Joseph was inaugurating the prize distribution ceremony of the Justice Siri Jagan Memorial All-Kerala Legal Quiz Competition held in Kollam today. The Competition was organized by Kollam Bar Association in association with Panampilly Academy for Continuing Legal Education. The event was attended by former judges, prominent senior advocates, sitting judges, and young lawyers.
