Orissa High Court & State Legal Services Authority Form 'Human Chain' To Observe International Women's Day 2026

The Orissa High Court and Odisha State Legal Services Authority (OSLSA) on 08.03.2026 observed the International Women's Day, 2026 at Bellview Square, Cuttack.

A human-chain was formed at Bellview Square, Cuttack by the Judicial Officers of the Registry of High Court, Odisha Judicial Academy, OSLSA, Civil Courts, Cuttack, District Legal Services Authority, Cuttack and Permanent Lok Adalat (Public Utility Services), Cuttack and their respective staff to raise awareness about women empowerment and socio-economic as well as legal rights of women. The students of The Law College, Cuttack have also participated in the event.

Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak, Executive Chairperson, Odisha State Legal Services Authority, Justice Krushna Ram Mohapatra, Chairperson, High Court Legal Services Committee, Judges of High Court along with their respected spouses attended the occasion.

The event underscored that development of the society can be achieved through women empowerment and their inclusive participation. It further emphasized that the society stands with women to enable them to assert their rights recognised under law.

The programme was organised under the active supervision of Dr. Bhagyalaxmi Rath, Registrar General and Aurobindo Pattanaik, Member Secretary, OSLSA. The Collector, Cuttack, DCP, Cuttack, Commissioner, Cuttack Municipal Corporation, officers and staff of the local administration extended their support for the successful organisation of the event.
