The Bombay High Court in an interim order on Wednesday (July 8) directed taken down of objectionable content including deepfake images, AI and superimposed visuals and morphed pictures of actor Priety Zinta.
Single-judge Justice Madhav Jamdar has passed the order on Zinta's plea.
The judge noted that the material highlighted by the actor such as deepfake images, AI and superimposed visuals and morphed pictures violated her moral, publicity and personality rights. The judge held that the said content even infringed her privacy rights.
The court thus directed social media platforms to remove and pull down all the objectionable content that the actor has highlighted in her plea.
