    The Central Government on Monday notified the appointment of judicial officer Gurvinder Pal Singh as an Additional judge of the Delhi High Court.

    The announcement was made by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on X, formerly Twitter.

    “In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Gurvinder Pal Singh, Judicial Officer as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court,” the post said.

    On September 10, the Supreme Court Collegium had approved the proposal for appointment of eight judicial officers as Judges of the Delhi High Court, including judge Singh.

    While seven others were appointed as Delhi High Court judges, Singh's appointment was not notified.
