The Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked its appropriate Committee to consider a lawyer's suggestions on upgrading the hybrid hearings infrastructure in the district courts in the national capital.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia was dealing with a PIL filed by lawyer Nitin Soni.

The Court said that the issues relating to upgradation of hybrid hearings system in the district courts involve continuous evaluation of working on the existing systems and adapting to the ever evolving technological advancements.

“In fact, it appears to be a continuous process,” the Bench added.

The Court noted that the lawyer has made two representations to the authorities dated March 25, 2025, and May 04, 2026.

It disposed of the plea with a direction to High Court's appropriate Committee to consider the suggestions of Soni in his representations, as well as the petition.

“The appropriate Committee shall also take into consideration various other suggestions which emanate from the averments made in this writ petition,” the Court said.
