BREAKING| MP High Court Directs Police To Produce Woman Detained During Train Journey To Delhi For CJP Protest

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the Police to produce before it a woman who was detained by the police at Itarsi Junction while travelling in a train from Pune to Delhi to participate in the CJP protests against the Chief Election Commissioner.
The Court also said that the State can make arrangements for the safe return of the woman to her family.
The division bench of Chief Justice Alpesh Y Kogje and Justice Vivek Jain directed:
“Issue notice, making it returnable on 13.10.2026. The State is directed to produce the corpus before this Court. It is also open for the State to produce the corpus before the Court prior to the returnable date with the prior notice to the other side. However, it is also open for the State to make an arrangement for safe return of the corpus to the respective family. Stand over to 13.10.2026”.
The petition was filed by the sibling of the detainee claiming that the detainee was also assaulted by the police and has been detained in a location undisclosed to the family since October 8, 2026.
