Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Names Of 9 Judicial Officers, 10 Advocates As Judges Of Madras High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has approved the names of nine judicial officers and ten advocates to be appointed as judges of the Madras High Court, including the present Registrar General of the Madras High Court.
In its statement, the collegium said that it had approved the names of the judicial officers and advocates in a meeting held on May 18. The names considered were proposed on November 4, November 21, December 7, and December 10 last year.
The judicial officers whose names have been recommended are as follows:
(i) Dr. P. Murugan,
(ii) Mrs. M. D. Sumathi,
(iii) Mrs. S. Alli,
(iv) Mrs. C. Thirumagal Chandrasekar,
(v) Shri Dharmalingam Lingeswaran, and
(vi) Shri Karthikeyan Balathandayutham
(vii) Shri Shanmugam Karthikeyan,
(viii) Shri Baluchamy Murugesan, and
(ix) Shri N. Gunasekaran
The advocates whose names have been recommended are as follows:
(i) Shri Natarajan Ramesh,
(ii) Shri G.K. Muthukumaar,
(iii) Shri Ramakrishnan Rajesh Vivekananthan,
(iv) Shri Sankaranarayanan Raveekumar,
(v) Shri Nagarajan Dilip Kumar, and
(vi) Shri Ellappan Manoharan,
(vii) Shri Krishnaswamy Govindarajan,
(viii) Shri Rajnish Pathiyil,
(ix) Shri K. Appadurai @ Kandavel Appadurai, and
(x) Mrs. Ramasamy Anitha
