The Rajasthan High Court has stayed the declaration of final results of the selected candidates in the recruitment process to the post of Assistant Professor (English).

The bench of Justice Ganesh Ram Meena was hearing a petition that alleged that the State proceeded ahead in the recruitment process without considering the objections raised to the model answer key published on 31.12.2025 in respect of the written examination conducted for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor (English). 

The petitioner argued that in December 2025, the State had published a model answer key for the written examination of the recruitment process, towards which objection were submitted.

However, without considering the objection submitted on 05.01.2026, the final answer key was published, and the State proceeded with the interview of the candidates.

After hearing the contentions, while issuing notices in the matter, the Court held that the State might proceed further with the selection process, however, the final result of selected candidates shall not be declared.

"In the meantime, the respondents may proceed further with the selection process but shall not declare the final result of the selected candidates" the court said.
