Ankita Bhandari Murder Case | Uttarakhand High Court Rejects Bail Plea Of Main Accused Pulkit Arya

The bail plea of Pulkit Arya, the primary suspect in the Ankit Bhandari murder case, has been denied by the Uttarakhand High Court. The court characterized the incident as a premeditated crime and emphasized that all the accused were conclusively identified at the crime scene during the testimonies in the lower court.

The case was heard by a bench of Justice Ravindra Maithani passed this order on Wednesday noting that the compelling evidence on record, pointed to the accused's involvement in the crime.

During the hearing of the bail case, it was contended by the family members of the deceased victim that the resort, owned by accused Arya, was vandalized by him to destroy the evidence related to the crime. It was also alleged that the CCTV footages of the resort were switched off and the DVR was also tampered with.

For the uninitiated, 19-year-old Ankita Bhandari was allegedly killed last year by the owner of a resort Pulkit Arya, the son of a former BJP leader and his two associates as she had refused and resisted offering "extra services" to a VIP guest.
