The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions on 30.01.2024 has notified the approval of the appointment of candidates for 02 posts of Judicial Members and 02 posts of Technical Members in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal ('NCLAT') by the Appointment Committee of Cabinet. The approval has been granted in reference to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs' D.O. No. A-12023/2/2023-Ad.IV.-MCA dated 03.01.2024.
The following candidates have been appointed as Judicial Members of NCLAT:
- Justice Yogesh Khana, Former Judge, High Court of Delhi.
- Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma, Former Judge, High Court of Uttarakhand, Nainital.
The following candidates have been appointed as Technical Members of NCLAT:
- Indevar Pandey, IAS (WB:88), Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- Jatindranath Swain, IAS (Retd) (TN:88), Former Secretary, Department of Fisheries.
The appointment of Judicial Members and Technical Members is for a period of 04 years, or till attaining the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier. The salary for the appointed candidates shall be Rs. 2,25,000 per month.
