    Name of the Post: Assistant Manager (Legal)

    Location: Pune

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    • Strong understanding of fundamental principles of Indian law with 6-8 years of post qualification experience.
    • Sound knowledge of real estate laws, including title due diligence, property documentation and land transactions.
    • Exposure to both transactional work and litigation/dispute resolution.
    • Excellent legal drafting, analytical and research skills.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • High level of ownership, attention to detail and professional ethics.
    • Candidates with experience in a real estate developer, reputed law firm or in-house legal team handling real estate matters will be preferred.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Real Estate Transactions & Documentation: (a) Draft and review transaction documents including Term Sheets, Agreements to Sell, Sale Deeds, Development Agreements, Powers of Attorney and other ancillary documents, (b) Assist in conducting title due diligence and identifying legal risks, and (c) Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to facilitate timely closure of transactions.
    • Litigation & Dispute Resolution: (a) Manage litigation across various judicial/quasi-judicial forums, (b) Draft and review pleadings, legal notices, replies, written submissions, affidavits and briefing notes, (c) Coordinate with external advocates /counsels, monitor case progress and ensure timely filings, (d) Attend court hearings, conferences with counsel, wherever required, and (e) Maintain litigation trackers and provide periodic updates to management.
    • Contract Management: (a) Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and vendor agreements, and (b) Develop and maintain standard templates, legal precedents and drafting guidelines to improve consistency and efficiency.
    • Knowledge Management & Process Excellence: (a) Monitor changes in laws, regulations and judicial precedents impacting the real estate sector, (b) Prepare legal updates and knowledge notes, and (c) Ensure adherence to internal legal processes, approval matrices and documentation standards.
    • Reporting & Coordination: (a) Prepare periodic legal MIS relating to transactions, litigation, compliances and key legal risks, and (b) Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, external consultants and government authorities, wherever required.
