Essential Qualification and Experience

Chairperson

• The Chairperson and Member of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission shall be a person of ability, integrity and standing who has adequate knowledge of, and has shown capacity in dealing with problems relating to engineering, finance, commerce, economics, law or management.

Member

• A person who is or has been holding a judicial office; or (b) an advocate with not less than ten years' practice and qualified for appointment as a Judge of a High Court under Article 217 (2) of the Constitution of India; or (c) an advocate with not less than seven years' practice and qualified for appointment as a District Judge under Article 233 (2) of the Constitution of India.
