    BML Munjal University (BMU) invites applications for the post of Professor (Law), Associate Professor (Law), Assistant Professor (Law), Lecturer (Law), and Faculty Associate (Law) at its School of Law (SOL).

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    • Applicants should meet the minimum qualifications stipulated by the Bar Council of India.

    • Applicants with PhDs and postdoctoral experience will be preferred, however, those with excellent master’s degrees from reputed institutions are also encouraged to apply.

    • For Professors and Associate Professors BMU SOL prefers the following attributes:

    a) Achievements in research and academic publishing, with a plan for continued research upon hiring.

    b) Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to an experiential, innovative, and interdisciplinary pedagogy where law teaching speaks to other disciplines.

    c) Interest in the mentorship of junior faculty and students.

    • For Assistant Professors, Lecturers, and Faculty Associates BMU values:

    a) Ability to teach undergraduate students in an accessible manner.

    b) Flexibility in teaching a range of core subjects in law.

    c) Potential to publish in quality peer-reviewed publications.

    d) Interest in mentoring students.

    • Interested candidates are required to submit their CV along with a cover letter addressing research and teaching experience and interests, one writing sample, and names and contact details of two referees and shall submit it to the email id dean.sol@bmu.edu.in with the subject ‘Application for Faculty Position’. Cover letters may be addressed to the ‘School of Law Search Committee’ on or before May 31, 2023.

    • Shortlisted Candidates residing in India are expected to be available for an in-person interview on campus on the 2nd and 3rd of June. Those outside India will be invited for an online interview.
