Essential Qualification and Experience

· A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or an equivalent legal degree is mandatory.

· Admission to the Bar Council of India or a valid license to practice law is essential.

· Minimum 8 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on banking and finance law.

· Proven experience in managing a legal team and providing strategic legal advice.

· Excellent knowledge of Indian contract law, property law, and relevant regulations.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide creative legal solutions.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships.

· Proficiency in legal research and the ability to stay updated with legal developments.

· A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Provide legal expertise and support to the Loan Against Property team, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing legal risks.

· Oversee and review legal documentation, including loan agreements, security documents, and other legal contracts.

· Offer strategic legal advice to mitigate risks and ensure the bank's interests are protected during the loan process.

· Collaborate with credit, collections, and operations teams to ensure a seamless and compliant loan journey for customers.

· Manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective legal services.

· Stay updated with legal and regulatory changes, and advise the bank on any necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

· Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide insights on potential legal implications.

· Represent the bank in legal proceedings, negotiations, and mediations, as required.

· Maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel and industry experts to seek advice and support.
