    Name of the Post: Zonal Legal Manager

    Location: Mumbai

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    • Minimum 7 years of experience in the legal field, preferably as a corporate lawyer or in litigation/recovery-related roles.
    • Ability and willingness to independently manage legal operations across the entire West Zone.
    • Provide legal support to Collections, Customer Care, and other internal departments, ensuring timely and accurate legal guidance.
    • Strong expertise in legal drafting, including petitions, replies, notices, and other legal documents.
    • Thorough knowledge of Arbitration, Section 138 matters under the Negotiable Instruments Act, police complaints, consumer disputes, execution petitions, NCLT proceedings, and winding‑up petitions.
    • Knowledge in Arbitration Act, NI Act, CPC, BNS, BNSS, Consumer laws, NCLT, recovery laws.
    • Educational Qualification: LL.B. (mandatory), higher legal qualifications will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent communication, coordination, stakeholder‑management and Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical abilities skills.
    • Ability to travel, handle field‑level legal activities and manage external legal partners/vendors effectively.
    • Assertive, detail‑oriented, able to handle high-volume cases.
    • Willingness to travel, proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation tools.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Filing and attending arbitration proceedings, civil and criminal cases, including Sec. 138 NI Act matters.
    • Handling cases related to economic offences, Consumer Forum, Recovery and Service matters.
    • Minimizing litigation against the Company through proactive legal strategies.
    • Obtaining interim orders under Sections 9 & 17 of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, including property attachment orders.
    • Coordinating with police stations, courts and advocates offices for cases follow‑up.
    • Travelling to branch locations across the Western region for legal initiation, review and audits.
    • Issuing legal notices to defaulters and drafting replies to notices received by the Company.
    • Maintaining case records, documentation and MIS of litigation and arbitration matters.
