Bar Council Of Delhi Elects New Office Bearers

The Bar Council of Delhi has new Office bearers; all of whom have been elected unopposed for this term. The BCD Election Committee shared the list of new office-bearers on 7th September 2020.
Senior Advocate Mr. Ramesh Gupta will be the new Chairman of the Bar Council of Delhi. He will be assisted by Mr. Himal Akhtar, the newly elected Vice-Chairman and Mr. Manoj K Singh, the newly elected Chairman, Executive Committee. Manoj K Singh, Founding Partner, Singh & Associates, will also be a part of the Rules Committee of the BCD.
Other members elected as office bearers are Mr. Rakesh Kumar Kochar, Mr. Sanjeev Nasiar, Mr. Rakesh Sherawat and Mr. Vishnu Sharma as Co-Chairmen; Mr. Jagdev, Mr. Sanjeev Nasiar, Mr. Rakesh Sherawat, Mr. Rajpal Kasana and Mr. Ajayinder Sangwan as Members Executive Committee. Mr. Ajayinder Sangwan is also Secretary Bar Council. Mr. O.P. Faizi, Mr. Jagdev and Mr. Sanjeev Nasiar bagged the post of Members Library Committee. The Rules Committe of BCD consists of Mr. O.P. Faizi, Mr. Rajiv Khosla, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Kochar, Mr. Sanjeev Nasiar and Mr. Manoj K Singh. The Enrolment Committee will have Mr. Rakesh Kumar Kochar, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sherawat and Mr. Murari Tiwari as members. The Indigent & Disabled Lawyers Committee will be made up by Mr. Sanjeev Nasiar, Mr. Rakesh Sherawat, Mr. Murari Tiwari, Mr. Rajpal Kasana and Mr. Vishnu Sharma. The Disciplinary Committee-I will have Mr. O.P.Faizi and Mr. Jagdev, Disciplinary Committee-II will have Mr. Sanjeev Nasiar and Rakesh Kumar Sherawat and Disciplinary Committee-III has Mr. Murari Tiwari and Mr. Rajpal Kasana its respective members. Mr. Rajiv Khosla and Mr. Jagdev have been elected as members Bar Council of India Advocate Welfare Committee for the State.
Presently, the Bar Council of Delhi has over 60,000 registered member advocates.
