The General Secretary of the renowned International humanitarian Aid Organization namely, Khalsa Aid has retained Advocate Karan S.Thukral as their Legal Counsel.
The organization has been actively working towards providing relief work to the victims of international crises such as earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, cyclones, etc. and has gained an immense reputation amongst many nations around the globe.
Karan S.Thukral's Law Office informed that an article was published in the columns of 'Zee News India', a famous media channel on January 31st, 2021 which contained false, frivolous and vexatious statements to the extent that it was derogatory and belittling to their client. The Article allegedly referred to the General Secretary of Khalsa Aid, namely Sardarni Bal Kaur Sandhu stating that she along with her husband is running a huge syndicate for extorting money, which is false and baseless carving a clear cut case of defamation against the channel.
Mrs. Bal K Sandhu has worked with some of the eminent non-governmental agencies like the United Nations, World Health Organization, United Nation's Children Fund and the global Sikh community providing emergency relief and humanitarian assistance in disaster-hit areas. She is a recipient of parliamentary recognition for her innovative and best practice work with BAME communities. Such an article with unauthenticated facts and baseless insulting statements has come to her as a shock.
Mr.Karan S.Thukral has served a Legal Notice on behalf of the International Organization to the Founder, Editor-in-Chief, Zee News Corporation Ltd. for immediately remove the article, seeking an unconditional apology and withdrawal of their statements along with monetary compensation.
Mr.Thukral in his Legal Notice has stated that Mr.Ravi Singh and his wife Mrs.Bal K Sandhu has been severely distressed by the speculative, insulting, defamatory and libelous statements published against them, which has not only harmed her reputation but has resulted in defamation to her family members and their estates.
