  • Nigerian National Represented By Attorney Karan S.Thukral Removed From Blacklist Category By The Ministry Of Home Affairs

Attorney Karan S.Thukral, on behalf of his client who hails from Nigeria, lately managed to attain a favourable Order from the Delhi High Court in a Writ Petition seeking deletion of his name from the blacklist category of immigrants.

The office informed that the Nigerian citizen namely Mr. Onyebuchi used to frequently travel back and forth from Nigeria to India in order to meet his wife and children who reside in Meghalaya. Unfortunately, his application for grant of visa went into abeyance for a substantive stretch of time when he approached Thukral Law Associates.

Upon representations made by Mr.Thukral's Law Office to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and other authorities, it was brought to light that Mr.Onyebuchi has been blacklisted from entering India. In the said event, the Advocate immediately moved the Delhi High Court with a Writ Petition seeking reasons for arbitrary denial of entry and removal of Onyebuchi's name from the black-list category of immigrants entering India. Of late, after hearing the parties concerned, the Delhi High Court passed an order to the effect that Mr. Onyebuchi has been removed from the blacklist category and that the government shall have no objection if he wishes to travel to India; of course, subject to a valid Passport and Visa.

Undeniably, TLA's support and aggressive legal representation proved to be a blessing for the couple in disguise who were forcibly living separately with the unfortunate turn of events. 'I am really happy that I'll finally be able to see my husband after a long time' said Ms. Ruma wife of Mr. Onyebuchi expressing her joy and excitement on the decision.

"A lack of timely support creates great difficulties to the persons concerned, often infringing upon their fundamental rights as articulated under the Constitution of India and identical is what took place in the case at hand. However, such decisions by our judiciary go a long way, instilling confidence in the citizens and empowering them to approach the Courts in case of infringement of their rights." exclaimed Karan S. Thukral, Attorney at Law.
