The promotions come following the recent launch of the firm's Gurugram office and the expansion of its leadership team. They are part of Sagus Legal's ongoing focus on strengthening its specialist legal talent across corporate, regulatory and commercial practice areas.

As Counsel, Amrita Bakhshi will continue to advise domestic and international clients on general corporate advisory, private equity and venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, distressed acquisitions, technology law and data privacy. Since joining Sagus Legal in 2020, she has advised on complex corporate transactions and strategic advisory mandates across a range of matters.

Promoted to Principal Associate, Rishabh Dua will continue to strengthen the firm's Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, Insolvency & Bankruptcy and Regulatory Litigation practice. Having joined the firm in 2025, he has advised clients across commercial disputes, insolvency proceedings and regulatory litigation before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums. His elevation comes as the firm continues to strengthen its disputes practice.

Mudassir, who has been elevated to Senior Associate, has contributed to the firm's Commercial & Regulatory Disputes practice. Since joining Sagus Legal in 2024, he has advised clients on a range of commercial and regulatory matters. In his new role, he will take on greater responsibility in managing client engagements while continuing to mentor and support the firm's growing team of young lawyers.
