    The National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU) was established under the Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1997 (Act No. 41 of 1997), enacted by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature. NLIU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bar Council of India (BCI).

    ABOUT CLT

    The NLIU Cell for Law and Technology (CLT), founded in 2019, is dedicated to addressing the complex intersection of law and technology. The Cell fosters research and dialogue on emerging legal challenges driven by technological advancements, including data privacy, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property in the digital age. CLT provides a platform for students and professionals to develop legal frameworks that keep pace with rapid technological progress.

    ABOUT THE BLOG

    The NLIU-CLT Blog is a student-run initiative of the Centre for Law and Technology at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. It promotes high-quality academic writing and research on emerging issues at the intersection of law, technology, and policy. Over time, the NLIU-CLT Blog has grown into a trusted voice in conversations on data governance, digital innovation, and the future of rights in an increasingly networked society. It is, above all, a testament to the intellectual energy of NLIU's student community, which continues to raise the bar for thoughtful, future-oriented legal writing.

    THEME

    The Cell invites submissions on the broad area of “Law and Technology”. There is no specific theme prescribed; contributors are free to write on any topic within this domain. Illustrative areas include artificial intelligence, data protection, fintech, digital governance, cybersecurity, and intellectual property, inter alia.

    SUBMISSION DEADLINE

    The last date for submission of manuscripts is 10th October, 2026.

    REVIEW PROCESS

    Each submission to the NLIU-CLT Blog is carefully reviewed before publication. The process takes place in three stages.

    First, every piece is checked for plagiarism and similarity to ensure originality and that the work truly reflects the author's own ideas. This stage also checks for the use of AI in generating the content.

    At the second stage, the content is reviewed for clarity this includes looking at the language, the flow of the writing, and whether the arguments are well-structured and easy to follow.

    At the third stage, the submission is examined from a legal perspective, where the accuracy of the arguments, the use of law, and the relevance of the analysis are carefully evaluated. Together, these steps help maintain the high standards of the Blog and ensure that every article published is original, well-written, and legally sound.

    All submissions for publication shall be decided upon in 28 days, subject to batch schedule delays.
