About the 2nd Edition KMC National Moot Court Competition

The 2nd Edition KMC National Moot Court Competition 2026 is envisioned as a national-level platform for law students to test their advocacy and analytical abilities in a simulated courtroom environment.

The theme, “Fair Play and Market Dominance”, brings the world of competition and markets into conversation with the legal principles governing fair competition. The proposition is expected to provide participants with an opportunity to examine questions concerning market power, dominant position, anti-competitive conduct and the legal framework governing competitive markets.

    Theme

Fair Play and Market Dominance: Game Beyond the Pitch – Navigating the Anti-Competitive Legal Spectrum

The theme seeks to explore the legal boundaries between legitimate competition and conduct that may distort or restrict competition.

With markets becoming increasingly concentrated and competitive strategies evolving across sectors, competition law plays an important role in maintaining a level playing field. The theme provides scope for participants to engage with the legal and policy questions surrounding market dominance and anti-competitive behaviour.

The competition therefore seeks to move beyond conventional courtroom advocacy and encourage participants to examine the broader relationship between law, markets, competition and economic power.
