    The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, NLU Delhi, in collaboration with PSL Advocates & Solicitors, is thrilled to announce the launch of the first edition of the Essay Writing Competition,“The Arbitration Odyssey: Exploring the Legal Frontiers.” As part of the Centre's mission, they are committed to fostering innovative thinking and promoting discourse in the field of arbitration.

    The Competition invites participants to delve into various facets of arbitration, exploring its theoretical underpinnings, practical applications, and contemporary challenges. Whether you are a seasoned legal scholar or an aspiring lawyer, this competition offers a platform to showcase your analytical prowess, research skills, and passion for arbitration. With amazing cash prizes and a prestigious internship with PSL Advocates & Solicitors, the Competition promises to be an enriching experience for all participants.

    Submission guidelines

    • Participants are mandatorily required to comply with the following guidelines. Please note that submissions violating any of the guidelines mentioned below will not be considered for evaluation.
    • Word limit: 1500-2000 words, exclusive of abstract and footnotes.
    • Word limit for abstract: 150-200 words
    • Formatting guidelines for the main body of the essay: Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5, and justified alignment.
    • Formatting guidelines for footnotes: Times New Roman, font size 10, line spacing 1.0, and justified alignment.
    • Footnotes must strictly follow the OSCOLA (4th edition) format. Endnotes and descriptive footnotes are not permitted.
    • The essay submitted must be the original, unpublished and non-plagiarised work of the author(s).
    • Co-authorship is allowed for a maximum of 2 authors.
    • Submissions of essays are to be made via mail to the CADR Email-ID (cadr@nludelhi.ac.in) with the subject "Submission of Essay | Essay Competition 2024".

    • Winner: Internship Opportunity at PSL Advocates and Rs. 15,000
    • 1st Runner Up: Rs. 10,000
    • 2nd Runner Up: Rs. 5000
