    National Law University Odisha is inviting you to the Policy Presentation Competition, organized in collaboration with Regstreet Law Advisors, a key event under LEXATHON 2026, NLUO's premier Tech Law Conclave, scheduled for March 28, 2026.

    LexTech: Centre for Law, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation is a research center at NLUO dedicated to the intersection of law and emerging technologies. The center focuses on fields such as FinTech, AI, TMT, and Data Privacy, promoting interdisciplinary research and responsible technology adoption.

    The First Edition of Lexathon

    Lexathon 2025 was a landmark two-day national conclave featuring an Ideathon, Startup Pitch, and Paper Presentation competitions, supported by collaborators including LiveLaw, Saraf & Partners, and State Bank of India. Lexathon witnessed wide student participation and meaningful engagement with industry experts, academicians, and practitioners, reinforcing our commitment to advancing discourse on technology law and policy.

    About Lexathon 2026

    This edition aims to be bigger and better, featuring multiple academic and policy-driven competitions. Key highlights include the Paper Presentation Competition (in collaboration with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.) and the Policy Presentation Competition (in collaboration with Regstreet Law Advisors), alongside high-impact panel discussions with legal-tech leaders.

    About the Policy Presentation Competition

    The competition provides a platform for participants to develop innovative and actionable legal policy proposals. Participants are encouraged to craft regulatory frameworks that balance technological advancement with ethical standards.

    Theme for 2026: "Ethical Governance of Artificial Intelligence in Securities Markets: Ensuring Transparency, Fairness, and Investor Protection."

    Eligibility & Team Composition

    · Shall be open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from law.

    · Participants may register individually or in teams of two.

    · Cross-institutional teams are allowed.

    Competition Format

    The competition is conducted in three stages:

    • Policy Proposal: Participants must submit a proposal of up to 3,000 words based on the problem statement.
    • All submissions will then be evaluated, following which the top eight proposals will be selected for the presentation round.
    • Shortlisting & Presentation: The top eight teams will be selected to present their policies online before a panel from Regstreet Law Advisors on March 28, 2026.

    Awards & Benefits

    • Winner: ₹15,000 + Internship Opportunity at Regstreet Law Advisors
    • First Runner-Up: ₹10,000 + Internship Opportunity at Regstreet Law Advisors
    • Second Runner-Up: ₹5,000

    • Single Author: ₹400
    • Co-authors: ₹700

    • Release of Problem Statement: February 24, 2026
