NLIU BHOPAL
The National Youth Parliament is the flagship simulation of parliamentary proceedings organised as part of the 1st NLIU National Parliamentary and Constitutional Colloquium. It aims to provide participants with a practical understanding of democratic deliberation, legislative negotiation, and parliamentary functioning.
The simulation brings together students from across the country to engage in rigorous debate, coalition-building, and policy discussions while replicating the procedures and political dynamics of India's Parliament. Participants will represent political leaders and deliberate on pressing national issues in a structured parliamentary setting.

Committees
The National Youth Parliament will feature two parliamentary simulations, each reflecting a distinct aspect of India's democratic and legislative process.
1. All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM)
The All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM) is a pre-parliamentary consultative forum where leaders of major political parties deliberate on critical national issues before formal legislative sessions.
In this simulation, participants representing different political parties will engage in high-stakes negotiations, ideological debates, and consensus-building to address national challenges. The forum often serves as a platform to resolve political disagreements and prevent legislative deadlock while encouraging constructive dialogue among competing political perspectives.
Agenda: Deliberation on the Proposal for Simultaneous Elections (“One Nation, One Election”) and its Implications for India's Federal Structure, Electoral Integrity, and Democratic Accountability.
2. Lok Sabha
The Lok Sabha, known as the House of the People, is the lower house of the Parliament of India and represents the democratic will of the electorate through directly elected members.
The committee simulation will replicate the legislative functioning of the Lok Sabha, including structured debate, policy scrutiny, and legislative deliberation. Participants will engage in parliamentary procedures such as speeches, questioning, and negotiations while addressing the agenda placed before the house.
Agenda: Discussion on the Legalisation and Regulation of Online Gaming and Betting in India.
