    Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADR ODR International Limited, a global provider of dispute resolution training and services, engaged in areas including conflict management, negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.

    The MoU signing ceremony, held at the JGU International Academy, New Delhi, marks the beginning of a collaboration aimed at promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including mediation, arbitration, and online dispute resolution (ODR). The partnership seeks to create opportunities for students, professionals, and stakeholders through training programmes, academic initiatives, and international engagements.

    Speaking on the occasion, Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University, stated, “This partnership represents a commitment to strengthening legal education in a globalised context. By integrating academic learning with practical training in dispute resolution, the initiative seeks to prepare legal professionals with technical proficiency and an understanding of justice, innovation, and ethical leadership.”

    Under the agreement, both institutions will work together to design and deliver academic and professional programmes, including training in civil and commercial mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution, as well as emerging areas such as digital dispute resolution. The collaboration will also facilitate conferences, workshops, competitions, and industry interaction platforms.

    The partnership also places emphasis on aligning academic learning with industry practices. The programmes are expected to be delivered through in-person, online, and hybrid formats to ensure accessibility.

    Ms. Pavani Sibal, Head of India for ADR ODR International Limited, stated, “Our collaboration with Jindal Global Law School is based on a shared approach towards strengthening dispute resolution through accessibility, innovation, and global cooperation.”

    The collaboration also reflects efforts towards strengthening dispute resolution practices and legal innovation in India, particularly in the context of increasing cross-border transactions and evolving dispute resolution mechanisms.

    The MoU establishes a framework for engagement between the two institutions and highlights the role of collaboration between academia and industry in legal education and dispute resolution.
