    National Law University (NLU) Delhi organised Deeksharambh 2026, the Student Induction Programme for the 19th batch of the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme, on July 19, 2026, at the University Auditorium.

    The newly admitted students were welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, along with members of the University leadership and faculty. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the National Anthem, followed by the Vice Chancellor's welcome address.

    Justice Rajendra Menon, Chairperson, Armed Forces Tribunal and former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, attended the event as the Guest of Honour and addressed the students. Justice M.M. Sundresh, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, delivered the Chief Guest address, speaking on law, justice and the responsibilities of aspiring legal professionals.

    During the programme, the All India Rank 1 holder of AILET 2026 was awarded a scholarship. Several other meritorious students were also felicitated for their academic achievements and admission to NLU Delhi.

    The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Risham Garg, Registrar, NLU Delhi.

    The induction programme also included orientation sessions on the University's institutional policies and academic framework. Prof. (Dr.) Anju Tyagi introduced students to the academic programmes, rules and regulations, while Prof. (Dr.) Ritu Sharma conducted a session on examination rules and regulations. Prof. (Dr.) Niraj Kumar briefed students on hostel rules and regulations, and Prof. (Dr.) Maheshwar Singh addressed the students on Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan and NCORD.
