    Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur has assumed the position of Vice Chancellor at National Law University Jodhpur. Before taking on this role, Prof. Kaur held the position of Registrar at National Law University Delhi. She has over two decades of experience in teaching and research, holding qualifications including M.Sc., LL.B, LL.M, and LL.D (Doctor of Laws).


    Prof. Kaur has collaborated with Dr. Avtar Singh on various law textbooks, including titles such as "Introduction to Jurisprudence," "Introduction to Interpretation of Laws," "Introduction to Industrial and Labor Laws," "Transfer of Property Act," "Laws of Torts," and "Supreme Court-Income Tax Judgments." Additionally, they co-authored a textbook on Competition Law published by EBC Publishers in 2012. She has also edited books on subjects like 'Facets of Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility in India' published by Springer and 'Women and Entrepreneurship in India' published by Routledge in 2021. In 2022, her co-edited Handbook on 'Shareholder Engagement and Voting' was published by Cambridge University Press.

    Before joining NLU Jodhpur, Prof. Kaur served as a Professor of Law at NLU Delhi from 2011 onwards, where she taught courses in Company Law, Securities Regulations, Competition Law, Law of Insurance, and International Business Law. Furthermore, she has been a visiting faculty member at the Faculty of Law, University of Bergen, Norway.

    Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur's academic and professional achievements are noteworthy. In 2021, she was honoured as a Fulbright Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Scholar at Emory Law School. She had previously held the position of Fulbright Scholar in Residence at Miami Dade College in 2016. In 2015, she served as the Chair Professor of Indian Studies on a Rotating Chair established by the Indian Institute of Cultural Affairs at the Faculty of Law, Leibniz University, Germany.

    Prof. Kaur's visionary leadership is expected to propel the University toward new academic distinctions and unparalleled excellence.
