Prof. Paramjit S Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, and Prof. Nishtha Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, received the Amity Academic Excellence Award, during the 19th International Business Horizon- INBUSH ERA World Summit 2019 organized by Amity University, Noida, from 20th to 22nd February.
The Vice-Chancellors of RGNUL and HPNLU were honoured for their significant contribution to academics. Amity Academic Excellence Award conferred upon the VC couple recognized the recipients as "profound scholars", "professional par excellence with an impeccable academic background" and acknowledged them as "efficient and effective" in the propagation of education and promotion of "intellectual growth and moral development of the students." Prof. Paramjit S Jaswal and Prof. Nishtha Jaswal were praised for their excellent and exemplary contribution to the expansion of knowledge through publication of well-researched books and technical papers in national and international journals.
Prof. Paramjit S Jaswal, VC RGNUL, has 36 books and over 70 research papers to his credit. He has a teaching experience of 36 years and research experience of 38 years. He specializes in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Human Rights and Environmental Law.
A gold medalist and an academician, Dr. Nishtha Jaswal has a teaching experience of 32 years and research experience of 34 years. She specializes in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Human Rights and Environmental Law. She has over 65 research papers and six books to her name.
