President of India has appointed Calcutta High Court Chief Justice Manjula Chellur as the new Chief Justice of Bombay High Court. She is directed to assume charge of the office of the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court on or before 24th August, 2016.

Shri Justice Girish Chandra Gupta, senior-most Judge of the Calcutta High Court, is appointed to perform the duties of the office of Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court with effect from the date Justice Manjula Chellur relinquishes charge of the office of the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court consequent upon her transfer as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.

Also, Justice Kalpesh Satyendra Jhaveri, Judge of Gujarat High Court, has been transferred as a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court and directed him to assume charge of his office in the Rajasthan High Court on or before 24thAugust, 2016.
