    26 Additional Judges of Bombay (14), Madras (6) and Patna (6) High Courts have been appointed as permanent judges of the respective High Courts.

    On March 11th, the Supreme Court collegium had recommended them to be made permanent.

    In notifications issued on Friday, the President of India have appointed them as permanent judges with effect from the date they assumed charge of respective High Courts.

    The Judges of Bombay High Court who have been made permanent are Justices Sandeep Kashinath Shinde, Rohit Baban Deo, Bharati Harish Dangre, Sarang Vijaykumar Kotwal, Riyaz Iqbal Chagla, Manish Pitale, Sunil Kesharao Kotwal, Arun Digambarrao Upadhye, Mangesh Shivajirao Patil, Arun Madhav Dhavale, Prithviraj Keshavrao Chavan, Murlidhar Ganpatrao Giratkar, Viba Vasant Kankanwadi and Sopan Mahadu Gavhane.

    The Madras HC judges who are made permanent are Justices V Bhavani Subbaroyan, AD Jagadish Chandira, GR Swaminathan, Abdul Quddhose, M Dhandapani, PD Audikesavalu.

    Justices Anil Kumar Upadhyay, Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, Sanjay Kumar, Madhuresh Prasad, Mohit Kumar Shah and Prakash Chandra Jaiswa are the judges who were made permanent in Patna HC.
