In a significant move, the Allahabad High Court Bar Association has decided to provide financial assistance (of Rs. 5 Lakh) to the families/Nominees of those Advocates who have died due to novel Coronavirus.

It may be noted that the Bar Association will provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the dependents or nominees of all those Advocates who have died after April 1, 2021. A resolution to this effect was passed on Friday (16th April) by the executive body of the Association.

The resolution states that 5 lakh rupees will be given to the families/nominees of those advocates who have died after 1 April 2021 (due to novel Coronavirus).

Apart from this, the executive body has also decided to provide immediate medical care to the Advocates suffering from COVID-19 and who are hospitalized and undergoing their treatment.

The resolution released by the Association states that the Advocates who are undergoing their treatment in the hospital need to send their details to the bar association's mobile number 9450613890 or 7785804544 so that they could be provided with financial support (through RTGS medium).

Such Advocates need to mention, in detail, their name, registration number, bank account number IFSC code, bar association's computer number and then they have to send it to either of the two numbers issued by the Association.
