    Justice Krishna S Dixit restrained advocate Siraj Ahmed from participating in the court proceedings, as a party or as an agent of the party or as a counsel of the party or otherwise.

    One A Ashraf Ali a tenant of landlady B S Susheela Devi, had moved the court challenging the appointment of Ahmed saying "the advocate appearing for the respondent – landlady having retired from the case was appointed as an attorney/agent by her to act on her behalf and to conduct the proceedings in these suits.

    Court said :

    Contention of the respondents that the answer to the aforesaid question should be in the affirmative. the advocate on record in the Court below (whose name is consciously left unmentioned herein) should not be permitted to act as an agent of the landlady in these proceedings.
